Naturally occurring wind energy flowing across your land can be converted into electricity and sold to utility companies. Landowners have the opportunity to partner with Torch to establish wind farms and exploit the wind resource on their properties. Torch provides the knowledge, relationships, capital, and human resources required to develop and operate a wind farm. Landowners, through a simple, straightforward agreement, allow Torch to develop and manage the wind farm. In return, landowners receive a percentage of the revenue from the electricity sold.
An operational wind farm often generates more revenue per acre of land than even the highest priced crops. By partnering with Torch, landowners can generate a new source of income that complements existing revenue sources such as farming or grazing. In almost all cases, the acreage required for the actual wind farm infrastructure will take up less than 4% of the property, leaving the rest of the land free for agriculture, grazing, or other uses.
The income generated by wind farms benefits both landowners and developers while stimulating the community’s economy through generation of new tax revenue to local government, local hiring, and use of local hotels and restaurants.
